Interstitial Cystitis: My Battle and the new ICRecipes.com

Posted on June 25, 2020 by icrecipes

ICRecipes.com Interstitial Cystitis Beach PartyThere is currently no cure for interstitial cystitis. Many treatments are inconsistent and some can be as unpleasant as the illness itself. As a result, many people diagnosed with IC have found that following a strict recommended diet is the best way to keep their interstitial cystitis under control. Unfortunately, that can mean cutting out the foods they enjoy the most and being stuck with bland, unseasoned meals instead.

The pain, symptoms, and restrictions of IC don’t just hurt the person who has it, but it can also effect their family members. It’s difficult for others to understand why you often avoid going out for dinner, why you don’t want to take a nice ride in the country, or why you just dread holiday celebrations. Trying to explain interstitial cystitis to someone who doesn’t have it can be almost excruciating.

What would you say if I told you having interstitial cystitis doesn’t automatically mean boring meals, family protests, dinner drama, becoming a hermit, or never dining out?

With excitment we are saying bye bye to our old site look, as ICRecipes.com  undergoes re-development. We have so much more to share now than when the site first began in 2006.  Soon, ICRecipes.com  will offer lifestyle tips, rescources, and bright delicious recipes. The best part is, they’ve all been developed and or tested by someone who knows what it is like to battle interstitial cystitis every day.

I have been taking on interstitial cystitis and taking back my life for over a decade. It hasn’t always been positive. I’ve suffered through my share of pain and the many adverse effects that come with having IC. Along the way, I’ve discovered what works for me and my IC. Happily, I am reaching my personal IC goals with much success. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you, and hope you find them both beneficial and entertaining.

Stay tuned! I hope you will enjoy what we have in store for you.
